F.r.E.a.K.y S.t.O.r.Y…

So, after having my early dinner probably at around 5 pm, I headed to the kitchen to wash up the plates and utensils. That took me like less than 5 minutes and as I headed back to my room., there was this pool of blood in front of my very own door.

Fresh blood.

It freaked the shit out of me! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Am I imagining this?

Just to let you know, I occupy the room number 2 in block B5. As I looked down from the corridor, I could see my “kostmate” who occupies the room number 1 watching tv. I called after the fellow “kost mate” of mine to come up and have a look at it. She sensed the fear and horror in my tone, and asked me if everything is okay? Then I told her that she really  need to have a look at it and that there is some blood here. So she hurried up immediately and if you have seen the horror on her face you would probably say that damn I was so calm.

” Oh my God!”, is all she said and we stood there at the corridor for awhile before saying anything to each other.

Then she broke the silence by asking, “how did that happen?”. I told her that I totally have no idea at all. We both were afraid to touch it or even smell it.

Then, we started looking for the origin or the source of blood. Then after sometime we realised that things are awfully strange as we could not find anything leading to the source of blood.

Nothing!

There are 2 cats in the “kost”, they seem to be running around just fine and that too with no single wounds on them. Nope, the cats are definitely not menstruating because we did not see any blood dripping, no signs of miscarriage either! Both cats on their best behaviour. Around the pool of blood, there was no sign of blood smears or cat’s paws in it or any signs of animals been dragged or killed! Oh puhleeze an insect could not have bled that much of either! Fellow room number 1 said this is indeed a mystery.

I was thinking if I should or should not inform the “ibu kost” who takes care of our dwelling place. Made up my mind to let her know to the very least and probably could borrow her mop too to clean up. She also thought that its really strange and started asking me,” kok, darah? dimana? di depan kamar? punya siapa? kamu pasti kamu ngak mens?”. Then I told her, “bukan bu, hahahaha, kok bukan saya yang mens depan kamarku itu” and at the same time a note to myself, “yeah right! who would menstruate right in front of their room door and no one can even mens that much!” Off course it was indeed very nice of that kind woman to offer to clean up and she brought her mop with her.

As soon as she saw the pool of blood, she also stood there with a horror in a face for sometime not saying anything. She was also hesitating to clean up and she told us that she is scared of it. She asked us, the girls if it is possible that someone broke into our dwelling place. Probably an injured thief and asked us to check our rooms. Fat chance, no sign of any thieves around. Then she decided to clean up and told us that we need to dispose of everything that we use to clean up as she too clearly realised that its pretty odd that the pool of blood has no source of origin. She saved her mope (yeah probably I would have done the same thing) and took it back to her room, brought a few pieces of old clothes and rags instead. Then we watched as she poured the disinfectant on the tiles and started cleaning up using her feet to hold the old rags  as she didn’t dare to use her hands, she also said that she could smell it and its fresh blood. Then when she was done she asked us to be careful as this is awfully strange.

I told of what happened to a few people and here are their conclusions.

1) The father : I think the cat just puked blood in front of your room door, don’t worry its probably nothing!

2) The mother : Did the cat menstruate? I think it did.

3) The childhood buddy : Oh my God! Take care ya, I think someone trying to “jampi” you, If I were you I would probably be freaking out.

4) The batch mate who so happen to be online : Are you sure there is no source of origin? It’s probably “jampi” lah.

5) You : *fill in the blanks*

I am praying that it is not jampi!

It is 1 am in the morning here and I am so freaked out.

SHIT!

p.s: “jampi” means incantation or magic spell.
